BROUGHTON Primary School enjoyed a day of activities dedicated to the Iron Age as part of their work on the subject.
Pupils spent a week studying the Iron Age and visited the Museum of the Iron Age in Andover to learn more about the period before holding their own themed day at the school.
Headteacher Emma Hudson said: "The museum were brilliant helping us with our research and preparation.
"We then held our own Iron Age day to experience what every day life would have been like."
Staff and pupils dressed up in costume and enjoyed various activities including pottery, weaving, fabric dyeing and making flatbread.
One of the highlights was a visit from Richard Hallin, of the British Plate Armour Society, who dressed as a Celtic Warrior and held a workshop on Iron Age defence work and archery.
Emma Hudson added: "It was a fantastic day, the children were so enthusiastic.
"As we're very close to Danebury Ring we thought it was important for us to focus on our local history and heritage and it was well worth doing."
