NORTHINGTON Farm in Overton held another of its popular lambing weekends recently.
Visitors were able to see the lambs on the farm and learn how the farm works at this busy time of year.
They were told that the farm has 500 Mules ewes, which were put to ram in November last year. There are 11 rams representing three breeds - Suffolk, Charlais and Texel.
The ewes were brought into the barn at the beginning of April. Ideally each ewe should have two lambs, so a triplet is fostered onto a ewe with only one lamb.
The farm also has a 160-strong dairy herd and it grows 1,200 acres of cereal and rape oil seed.
