CRICKLADE computing students gave college staff and students one of the first chances to play their new Fish Wars game.

The two-player game is the latest project by the computing students.

Producer Matthew Hurst said: "The day was a great success. I am very pleased with the level of interest the game has achieved and I would like to thank everyone at the college who have supported us."

The game starts players off with four fish and 10,000 credits. The aim is to build up your fish stock and improve your tank while destroying the competition.

Cricklade Computing is run by students and aims to enhance educational and recreational computing provision in the college.

Computer lecturer Pam Hearsum said: "I'm very impressed with the amount of time and effort the students have put into the design, programming and marketing phases of the game and, in particular, the time the students have contributed to both the college and the community."
