WHEN Saints fans Tanya Parrick and Richard Lynch booked their wedding in the Caribbean, little did they dream the problem they would face when their team reached the FA Cup Final.
Miss Parrick, of Stoneham Lane, Southampton, made sure their honeymoon flight to Turks and Caicos Islands was booked for after the last Saints league game against Manchester City, but never imagined the team would make it to the final in Cardiff.
Luckily, their trip does not leave until the early hours of Sunday, May 18 - the day after the cup clash against Arsenal - but the couple have now forked out an extra £1,000 to make sure they see the game and get to the airport on time and in style.
Miss Parrick, 31, said: "We had booked to go up in the afternoon to Heathrow - we thought we would get a room and stay there the night.
"My sisters had booked a limo for a surprise to take us to the airport, but now we're going to Cardiff, so they had to change the limo to take us to Cardiff.
"I said we would pay and it cost £1,000. We don't care. So the limo is taking us to Cardiff and it's going to wait until the game's finished and then take us to Heathrow."
The couple, who have been together for ten years and have two daughters, Rudi-Leigh, seven, and five-year-old Tamara, get married on May 30 and have a reception on June 21 in Southampton.
They have been Saints fans for years and Mr Lynch, 38, even has a tattoo of Matt Le Tissier's signature on his back.
Miss Parrick added: "When we get back we are having a reception in the Mick Channon suite at the stadium, so it's all going to be Saints.
"And we're going to have our drive done with a big Saints badge on it next year."
