KEMPSHOTT Kestrels won the first-ever Peter Houseman under-10 League Cup recently with a 2-0 win over Basingstoke Town at Down Grange.
The winners scored a goal in each half, with midfielder David Parry netting first and man-of-the-match Craig Fraser adding a second three minutes from time to clinch the trophy.
This is the first trophy won by the team, who are now in their second season together.
The team was formed by the Parent-Teacher Association at Kempshott Junior School, which is still their home venue.
Kestrels' was one of a number of league cup finals which took place recently in the Peter Houseman League.
In the under-11 final, Berg's Steven Robinson was the man-of-the-match in his side's 1-0 defeat by Basing Rovers.
Also at Portway Stadium, Andover, Calleva A beat AFC Hatch Warren 5-4 on penalties to claim the under-12 cup after the game had ended 1-1. Hatch Warren's Liam Valentine was the man-of-the-match.
At under-13 level, AFC Hatch Warren were more successful.
Gareth Slade was their man-of-the-match in a 3-0 win over AFC Newbury.
At the next age group up, AFC Hatch Warren were winners again - this time 2-1 over Berg, with Warren's Nick Bates winning the man-of-the-match award.
In the under-15 final, Clarendon saw off Andover New Street 5-0.
