ALDERSHOT Town are heading for the Conference after securing the Ryman Premier Division title at the fifth time of asking.
Yesterday's 1-1 draw against Sutton United at Gander Green Lane was enough to send the former Football League club back towards the high life again.
Roscoe D'Sane fired the Shots ahead after 60 minutes only for Sutton to equalise within a matter of seconds. But it mattered not because news soon filtered through that second-placed Canvey Island had lost 2-1 at Billericay.
At the final whistle, 1,500 jubilant Shots fans danced on the pitch while the players appeared in the stand with the celebratory bubbly.
Basingstoke Town also had a good Easter Monday, coming back from two goals down to beat Maidenhead United 3-2 at the Camrose Ground.
They conceded twice in the first 16 minutes - the second from a penalty given away by Steve Hemmings, but ultimately created enough chances to have won comfortably.
Two goals in two minutes - a Craig McAllister header and a low shot from Neville Roach - put them back on terms and the winner arrived in the 51st minute when the keeper came out to block the on-rushing Roach and the ball fell loose for ex-Saint Kevin Gibbens to slot home.
