On Saturday 41-year-old striker Dave Leworthy grabbed the headlines for Havant & Waterlooville with a quickfire double that sank Tiverton.
But in yesterday's 0-0 draw at Dover the spotlight switched to a young man 24 years his junior.
With first-choice goalkeeper Aaron Kerr and his understudy Steve May both injured, Hawks handed a first-team debut to 17-year-old youth team stopper Luc Curling - and came away with a well-deserved point from a team lying fourth in the table.
Curling has been no stranger to success this season playing for the all-conquering Hawks' under-18 side, who already have three trophies proudly adorning the Westleigh Park shelf - the Hampshire Floodlit Cup, the Hampshire Cup and the Hampshire League championship.
"The young lad did ever so well in goal," said co-manager Mick Jenkins. "He made one great save from a 20-yard free kick, kept out another at the foot of the post and made a good stop with his feet towards the end.
"We had a very young side out again because of injuries. Not only did Aaron not play, but we had no Christian Hanson at the back either. But Dan Turner, also 17, had another big game alongside Alec Masson in defence."
Hawks, who travel to their FA Trophy semi-final conquerors Tamworth tomorrow night, had chances of their own to win it.
Dean Blake had a shot blocked inside the six-yard box, Neil Davis sent an effort just over and Bobby Howe was denied by a smart second-half save.
