Ever wondered what it would be like to enjoy the thrill of playing in a Pro-Am tournament but never quite had the courage to put your golf game to the test?
Well here's your chance.
During the coming season over 35 Pro-Am tournaments will be organised by local clubs in conjunction with the Hampshire PGA.
As well as offering amateurs the chance to play in a tournament atmosphere alongside a Hampshire PGA professional, there are many superb prizes to be won, excellent catering to be enjoyed and great golf courses to be played.
The 2003 HPGA Order of Merit season begins on May 2 at Barton-on-Sea and any amateurs interested in taking part should contact club manager Gary Prince on 01425 615308.
The mayor of Eastleigh's charity Pro-Am on May 8 sees the Fleming Park golf complex return to the tournament schedule after a ten-year absence with Ian Warwick the man to contact on 023 8061 2797.
Also coming in up in May are Cams Hall Pro-Am (Jason Neve 01329 827732), the Hockley Ladies Mixed Pro-Am on May 21 (Di Broughton 01489 784460) followed on June 4 by Tylney Park and June 6 by Hockley again (Lyn Dyer 01962 713165).
