AIRING your dirty laundry in public used to be something that was frowned upon.
But for one Winchester art student, "hanging out" on the street with her washing is not a chore - it's art.
Angela Petit, 22, staged the 'in situ' textile sculpture on a
Winchester street outside the city's Art College as part of her degree work.
Dozens of sheets and cloths were stretched out to make a patchwork quilt covering much of the pavement, though with no washing-line in sight, it looks like the sheets will end up back where they started - in the wash basket.
