POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a female motorbike pillion passenger was seriously injured in an accident on Sunday evening.
The Honda was being ridden along the A343 towards Enham Alamein at 6.50pm when the 45-year-old rider apparently lost control of the machine and it struck a signpost near the junction with Icknield Way. The rider received grazing and a stiff back in the accident but the 32-year-old female pillion passenger received serious head injuries and was taken to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, where her condition was described as stable.
