POLICE in Tidworth are searching for three men of Asian appearance after £210 in cash went missing from the Somerfield store in Andover Road, Ludgershall on Monday afternoon.
The three men entered the shop at approximately 3.50pm and two of them queued up at the store's second till to buy a bottle of water.
The other man engaged a member of staff in conversation - obscuring her view of her colleague at the till.
One of the pair at the till produced a large bundle of cash and asked for change for a £20 note. He then reached into the till and removed a large quantity of notes. He shuffled them before the employee was able to grab them back. But after the men had left the store, £210 in cash was found to be missing.
The men are described as approximately 5ft 11ins tall with short dark hair and in their early 20s.
The first man had a pointed face with a goatee beard. He was of slim build and had cracked white teeth and was wearing a dark baggy top.
The second man had a round face, was of heavier build and was wearing a grey jacket and black top. The third man was of medium build, had a gap between his front teeth and was wearing dark trousers.
Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information is asked to call 01722 411444 and ask for Tidworth police station.
