Graham Tappenden bids for glory on Sunday in the final of The Reel Care Winter League Series on the Match Lake at Broadlands.
Prolific match winner Tappenden, pictured right, is a formidable angler and, given a reasonable draw, the chances are he will take all the beating.
The 21-peg final sees an excellent turnout of local talent. They had to finish in the top seven of their group in a series of six matches this winter and the winners of each group must be respected in the final.
Cormorants Team Sillybaits' Richie Yeo finished his group six points clear and will hold definite chances in the final.
Davis Tackle's Mickey Maidment won his hard-fought Group B in a tremendous finish which saw four anglers separated by just four points and can never be ruled out.
Wimborne angler Stuart Halliday was the surprise winner of Group C, clinching his section in the last three heats and breaking the match record on the Match Lake, going into the final on the crest of a wave.
Carbotech's Lee Woodhouse is the class act in the final and, despite only scraping in from seventh place in his group will be very difficult to beat given a reasonable draw.
