A fierce toe-to-toe battle between Waterside's Danny Perkins and Poole's Jimmy Stanley was the highlight when boxers from across the south descended on the Waterside Amateur Boxing Club for an open show.
The Poole man won a narrow points decision for the 'senior bout of the night' trophy.
There were also some excellent junior bouts.
Southampton's Jimmy Smith beat Portsmouth's Louis Hoyle in a hard-fought contest which saw both boys take standing counts.
Highly-rated Waterside junior Lloyd Goddard also boxed, but lost a close split decision to Southwick's Josh Ross.
Goddard's coach Stewart Pidgely said: "Lloyd boxed really well and was unlucky to lose to a boy who was 11 months older, heavier and more experienced."
The evening was organised to raise money for the Waterside Sports and Social Club.
