Hampshire WI members have a newfound interest in science - and it's not the domestic sort.
They've started a science group and it already has 30 members with Sheila Goater, from The Worldhams, co-ordinating its activities.
The group will meet regularly on a monthly basis, normally on a Tuesday afternoon, at Intech, the interactive science and technology centre at Winchester.
Its first meeting was a workshop on pigments and binders with follow-up visits to Southampton Art Gallery to look at restoration and conservation of paintings.
Other topics to be covered include a workshop on rockets and a talk on pyrotechnics.
