The animals came in two by two when Miller's Ark Mobile Farm visited Stockbridge Primary School.
Ponies, chickens, donkeys, goats, sheep, bantams, geese - and all their young - were just some of the animals which delighted pupils and staff. Greta Lovell, from Miller's Ark, soon had all the children feeding, stroking and holding the animals.
Even the most cautious youngsters were persuaded to forget their fears and join in.
Miller's Ark is based in Odiham. It was established by Elizabeth Miller in 1991 as an offshoot of her main farming business and has expanded steadily ever since.
"We bring everything we need, except water, and we clean up thoroughly when we leave," said Greta.
"The welfare of the animals is paramount throughout and only those happy to have lots of attention are used."
"When can the animals come back?" was the plea from children in all five classes at Stockbridge at the end of the memorable day when the farm came to school.
