Eastleigh'S own 70-year-old marathon man will be among a trio of local runners at tomorrow's Flora London Marathon race.
It will be borough councillor George Wintle's 11th London run and his 24th marathon in just 12 years after taking up the long distance sport in his late 50s.

Eastleigh man Wayne Palmer has been inspired to do the run by the plight of John-James Entwhistle, 6, from Winchester, who suffers from a disorder known as Alstrom syndrome.
It is a genetic condition believed to afflict 42 people in the country and is the subject of cutting edge research at Southampton University.

Disabled children and young adults at the Queen Elizabeth II Activity Centre in Bursledon will benefit from the arduous exploits of Ralph Hasler from Woolston, Southampton.
