DIG out your bobby socks, high-healed sneakers and winkle-pickers - rock'n'roll mania is about to hit Hampshire.
Rock'n'roll variety spectacular That'll be the Day comes to The Anvil, Basingstoke on Thursday and combines more than 80 of the biggest hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s, interspersed with comedy routines and video clips featuring the TV commercials of yesteryear.
Trevor Payne wrote and created the show back in 1987 and still directs, co-produces and stars in the production.
"The 50s and 60s were undoubtedly pop's finest decades, although none of us realised it at the time. Everyone thought it would all be over in a couple of years," he says.
April 17, The Anvil, Basingstoke. Performance: 7.45pm. Tickets: from £14.50. Box office: 01256 844244.
