A LOCAL theatre company has announced a new series of one-act plays to be performed in Chandler's Ford this month.
The Chameleon Theatre Company is staging two comedies and a more serious drama from Thursday April 24 to Saturday April 26 at The Ritchie Memorial Hall.
Sequence of Events written by George McEwen and directed by Marianne Potts is set in Edwardian London and involves the murder of a prostitute by a young man. The hard-hitting drama will be performed at festivals later this year.
Background Artiste written by Stephen Smith and directed by Sheila Hardiman is about a young woman considering changing career and becoming a background artiste or extra. However she finds out that show business is not all glamour and that people are not always what they seem. Perfect Partners written by Alan Richardson and directed by Norma
Hester finds out what really happens in a dating agency. It is a satirical glimpse of the cynical yet romantic business.
Performances start at 7.30pm, the doors open at 7pm and tickets are sold at the price of £5 for adults, £4.50 for senior citizens and £3.50 for children. For reservation, call 023 8025 4027.
