PLANS to demolish Berehill House in Whitchurch and replace it with 40 dwellings have taken another twist with prospective purchasers Kingsoak Homes Ltd submitting a fourth application to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.
The company has already applied for conservation area consent and put in two planning applications for the site but now another conservation area consent application has been made.
Steve Soos, chairman of the protest committee, said: "We're dealing with these issues as and when they happen. I would ask people to object to this new application as well."
Mr Soos added the group welcomed the decision by Whitchurch Town Council to object to the original Berehill House demolition plans.
Town mayor and council chairman Cllr Barry Jackman made the proposal at Monday night's full council meeting.
The objection said: "Berehill House, although not listed, does have value as a large distinctive house of some character and merits retention, with its associated grounds, in a very open and prominent aspect and position within an important area of the Whitchurch Conservation Area. It also has valuable social history."
