Bashley boss Barry Blankley believes the Eastern Division promotion race will go right to the wire after watching his side move fourth with a 4-1 revenge win at home to Ashford last night.
After a rocky five-match spell - including a 1-0 defeat at Ashford - the Foresters picked themselves off the floor to leapfrog back over King's Lynn and edge out Salisbury on goal difference.
Craig Davis got the show on the road by firing home his 19th league goal of the season in the 25th minute and Bash looked to be cruising when young Richard Gillespie applied a first-time finish to Paul Sales's whipped-in cross.
But Ashford hit back with a 66th-minute shot that deflected in off Sales and it needed some smart saves from keeper David Elms to prevent further damage.
Two late goals from Danny Gibbons and Gillespie settled Bash nerves - both headers from Darren Robson corners.
Blankley said: "It was a good result, although we could have thrown it away from 2-0 up had it not been for Elmo."
With leaders Eastbourne held 2-2 at home by lowly Corby on Tuesday and Salisbury having three points docked for fielding an ineligible player, there is still all to play for at the top.
Wessex League relegation fighters Blackfield & Langley have appointed former player and caretaker boss Tony Feeney as their new manager in partnership with ex-Vosper Thornycroft midfielder Andy Price.
