THE first Hampshire Farmers' Market at Hythe attracted crowds, and proved so popular that three more are booked to be held on the Waterside this year.
The Farmers' Markets give local farmers and growers the opportunity to sell direct to the public without being dependent on wholesalers and supermarkets and have grown enormously in popularity round the county.
All the produce sold came from Hampshire or within ten miles of the county boundary and producers were on hand at the market.
The next Farmers' Markets in Hythe are booked for July 6, August 3, and October 12.
