CITY of Southampton swimmer Emma Macey scooped a double award at the Taunton Deane Open Meet at Millfield.
The 14-year-old won the main prize in her age group AND the overall award for top girl at the event. They came after Emma had won the 100m butterfly (1.07.81) in her age group and come second in the Open.
She was also second in the 200m freestyle (2.18.48), the 100m freestyle (1.04.86) and 200m intermediate medley IM (2.39.74), and was third in the 50m freestyle (30.40).
Natalie Robinson (15) achieved personal bests pbs in the 100m butterfly (1.17.86) and the 200m IM (2.46.93), finishing second overall in her age group.
Charlotte Slater (12) was third overall in her age group, winning the 100m butterfly (1.13.20, pb) and coming third in the 200m IM (2.44.87, pb).
Hannah Glasspool and Amy Wheeler, both 14, also did well.
Hannah was second in the 200m backstroke open age group (2.36.90), won the 100m backstroke (1.14.79) age group. She also had pbs in three other events.
Amy recorded four pbs and was third in the 200m freestyle (2.23.30) and the 400m freestyle open age group (1.14.79).
Swimming in the 13-year-age group, Natasha Day swam pbs in the 200m freestyle, 100m freestyle, 400m freestyle, 100m butterfly and the 200m IM.
Luke Horswell(15) collected silver in the 100m backstroke (1.10.99) and bronze in the 400m freestyle open age group (4.42.40).
Zach Shivers Stephens (15) won the 100m butterfly (1.09.02) and the 100m backstroke (1.10.97).
Nicholas Edwards (13) was second in the 100m butterfly (1.15.93 pb) and 100m backstroke (1.16.14, pb) and third in the 200m freestyle (2.19.00, pb).
Jamie Cole (12) swam some pbs in the 100m backstroke, 200m freestyle and the 100m breaststroke.
In all, there were 28 pbs and three swimmers achieved awards in the top three in their age groups, and 19 medals in total.
