John Reynolds will be back in action for the Christchurch-based Rizla Suzuki team at Snetterton this weekend - just two weeks after breaking his collarbone at Silverstone.
The ex-British Superbike champion said: "Watching the first round at Silverstone was nearly as painful as the crash. I want to ride and race and the physio told me I'd be okay.
"Snetterton is probably the best track to race when coming back from an injury like this."
Reynolds' Japanese teammate Yukio Kagayama will pay his own tribute to Daijiro Kato, who is fighting for his life after a serious crash in the opening MotoGP race of the season at Suzuka in Japan on Sunday.
Kagayama said: "Daijiro is a great friend of mine and I'll wear stickers in tribute and to support him."
