A Golfing Academy for girls is being launched at Hamptworth Golf and Country Club on Thursday.
Hamptworth professional Katie Huffam says: "Our aim is to get girls up to 18 years interested in the sport and to have fun at the same time.
"Having chatted with many girls and their parents, we know that the demand is there and we are proud to be one of the only clubs in the area to offer this service.
Hamptworth is situated on the edge of the New Forest at Landford and boasts an 18-hole course as well as a driving range, short game areas and putting greens. The Academy will be holding five full-day sessions over the year to include training and competitions and other mini sessions for the less experienced players.
A year's Academy membership will entitle each member to training sessions with former county champion Katie and the chance to attain a handicap. Full use of practice facilities, a membership pack and subscription to the newsletter are also included. More details from Katie on 07780 684334 or 01794 322026.
The five full days of training are currently set to be: May 28, July 22, Aug 26, Sept 28 and October 19.
