MEAN-minded burglars have ruined an eight-year-old Bishopstoke girl's Christmas after raiding her home and stealing all the presents from underneath the Christmas tree.
Raiders targeted a home in Cosford Close, Bishopstoke, between 1.30pm and 7pm on Sunday.
After breaking a pane of glass they let themselves into the house and then made off with the gift-wrapped presents.
The householder - who asked not to be named - told the Daily Echo: "It was probably only a couple of hundred pounds' worth of presents - but I probably won't be able to replace them. It's the money - you spend a lot of money on Christmas."
He added: "It's going to be a miserable Christmas. I can't believe anybody could be that mean. I feel sick about it."
Police have appealed for anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious to contact the crimedesk at Eastleigh police station on 0845 045 4545.
