Hampshire PGA assistant professionals beat the county's club professionals in the inaugural Jack Wells Challenge Match at South Winchester.
The assistants triumphed 5-1, their first win in the annual fixture which has now been named after former Hampshire PGA secretary Jack Wells, who was there to present the trophy to the winning team's captain Philip Bryden.
Match details (professionals' names first): Jason Neve & Terry Gosden lost to James Ablett & Rhys ap Iolo 3&2; Scott Watson & James Rodger lost to James Pitcher & Andrew Cloke 3&2; Richard Adams & Alastair Briggs lost to Wesley Byatt & Nick Smith 2&1; Gary Stubbington & Bruce Parker beat Richard Bland & Kevin Saunders 2&1; Ian Roper & Rob Edwards lost to Russell Tate & Simon Pink 5&4; Malcolm Scott & Paul Smith lost to Steve Cowle & Ben Johnson 1up.
