SOUTHAMPTON FC's St Mary's Stadium provides the setting for the annual Hampshire PGA Dinner on Thursday, February 20.

It's a celebration of another successful year for Hampshire golf in which Justin Rose won four tournaments worldwide, Richard Bland marked his first full season on the European Tour with second place in the Murphy's Irish Open and Matt Blackey finished third on the European Challenge Tour order of merit.

Kirsty Taylor was Rookie of the Year on the European Ladies Tour and, in county golf, Hampshire reached the Engish County Finals and retained the South East League title.

On the club front Rowlands Castle won the Hampshire Sevens, Corhampton the Stoneham Cup and there were superb performances by Stoneham and Hockley in the Mail on Sunday Golf Classic.

The HPGA Dinner is long established as the major social event of the county golfing calendar and the 2003 event promises to be one of the best yet with John Jacobs, John Stirling and Dave Thomas (National PGA Captain) among the invited guests.

Tickets (£35) are available from your club professional, who will be organising a table for your golf club, or the Hampshire PGA on 01962 860928.
