ANDOVER have already put some top-class noses out of joint this season and believe they have the pace to upset title-chasing Lymington & New Milton at Fawcett's Field tomorrow.

Led by 24-goal marksman Justin Bennett, the youthful north Hampshire side fancy their chances against an experienced, but ageing Linnets defence who have been leaking goals alarmingly of late.

Lions boss Howard Goddard has already masterminded wins over Eastleigh and Wimborne and pointed out: "Lymington have really good strikers and midfielders, but the defence is their Achilles heel and I think their manager Graham Kemp knows that.

"If you've got a bit of pace about you, you can upset defences at any level and we've certainly got the people to do some damage in Justin, Sam Rae, Danny Sullivan and Mario Nurse.

Hamble ASSC may be turning up in festive costumes for tomorrow's home game against Christchurch, but one fact cannot be disguised.

The once unfashionable Folland Park outfit are now a force to be reckoned with having strung together a run of seven league games undefeated.

Larry Clay's young guns make a habit of donning fancy dress and have Christmas as their theme for tomorrow's visit of Christchurch.

But when the whistle goes at three o'clock the yuletide clowning will be forgotten as the side dubbed 'Larry's Lunatics' bid to reinforce their position at the top of the current JWL form chart.

If Clay has a slight criticism of his Folland Park fledglings, it's that their home form hasn't quite been up to scratch.

Their last league defeat was in early November when Alton Town beat them 2-0 on Hamble soil and the manager admitted: "We play better as a unit away from home.

"Christchurch are a good young side too and they're having an excellent Vase run.

"Tomorrow's one of those games that could go either way."

While on-song Hamble marksman Jamie Musslewhite will take some holding, Christchurch have unearthed a replacement for injured front-runner Dominic Taylor.

New signing Lee Winsall from Lymington & New Milton is set to make his debut.

Co-manager Tony Brown reported: "Lee's a useful centre forward. He's scored 60 goals in a couple of seasons for Lymington's reserves and has been on the fringes of their first team."

Another new addition is midfielder/defender Michael Johnson, a Priory under-18 youth product, who has returned to the Hurn Bridge fold from Brockenhurst.

AFC Totton's visitors Fareham Town have released James Lacey from his two-year contract.

The midfielder has switched camps to Moneyfields and makes his first appearance for the Portsmouth-based club at Bemerton tomorrow.

Moneyfields' assistant manager Terry Arnold said: "James is a quality player but he wasn't enjoying it at Fareham because a lot of his mates had left.

"He used to be here in our youth team and is friendly with a lot of our boys."
