BOROUGH councillor for Stockbridge ward Cllr Daniel Busk is considering his future following a vote of no confidence in him from parish councillors in the village last month.

The Conservative Test Valley member attended the December meeting of Stockbridge Parish Council to respond to comments made in a letter to the Conservative Association.

He said: "Firstly, I'm rather disappointed that if you felt that way, you didn't raise the concerns with me first. I am now considering my future after May.

"I do not wish to inhibit the Conservatives in the next election.

"If you do want to complain, you need to do that to the chief executive of Test Valley Borough Council."

Chairman of Stockbridge Parish Council, Cllr David Baseley, said: "We issued a letter to the Conservative Association stating that we had lost faith in our borough councillor.

It wasn't something we liked doing, but we felt it was necessary.

"We appreciate Daniel coming along today."

The issue surrounds disagreements over two planning applications at nursing home Little Dean and at Providence House as well as a Longstock boundary dispute.

Parish councillors will now meet to discuss their next move.
