POLICE in Stockbridge are hunting thieves who snatched an antique clock worth £6,500 from the town's Bakhtiyar Gallery.
The late-18th century timepiece is 47.5cms tall, made of white marble with moon hands and Roman numberals.
It is inscribed with the name Robert.
Police say the mantel clock also has an alarm, is very ornate and is decorated with a swag-hungurn and a finial.
Thieves stole the clock from the High Street shop between 2pm and 3pm on Friday 6 December.
