NO changes at the top in the HSA Youth League in the last of the games before the mid-season break but many of the teams playing at under-15 level face a busy second half, especially the Tidworth-based Clarendon side with them having played only one league game so far this season owing to school and cup commitments.

Stockbridge Swan Hill in second place failed to close the gap on leaders Salisbury, who were without a game, when they were held in a high-scoring 4-4 draw by Vernham Dean, but Test Valley moved up into third spot with only their second win of the campaign with a 3-1 away success against pointless South Wonston.

In the under-14's section Castledown Sports, who lost to leaders Hatch Warren the previous week, bounced back with a 4-1 win over Gez Norriis' improving mid-table Vernham Dean. Whitchurch remain third after winning 4-2 at Upper Clatford and bottom club Ludgershall gained a welcome second win with their 4-2 victory over Redlynch.

Graham Barrett's RPM hit the goal trail again at under-13 level by chalking up double figures for the second week running, following the previous week's 12-1 thumping of Worthies 'B', with a 10-0 home spree against Test Valley 'B'. Valley 'A' were also surprisingly beaten 3-2 at home by South Wonston which meant they missed the chance of going second in the table.

Only three games played by the under-12's with Sean Norris' Hatherden putting a recent disappointing run of three successive defeats behind them with a 4-1 away win at Whitchurch. Unbeaten leaders Salisbury put New Forest side Lyndhurst to the sword with a 20-2 away win and Dave Mills' Broughton moved up into third place with a 3-1 away win at Test Valley.

In the mini leagues Vernham Dean moved into second spot in the under-11's division with a close yet deserved 3-2 away win over Porton and Broughton were also excellent 2-0 victors at home to Clarendon.

In the under-10's first division unbeaten Andover NS put their feet up but second placed Clarendon were surprisingly beaten 3-2 away by neighbours Durrington.

Upper Clatford 'A' held onto third place with a 5-3 home win against Worthies.
