TODAY is the last chance to enter The Gazette's competition to find the most festive house in Basingstoke and Deane.

Entries and nominations have flooded in from all over the borough, including Overton, Whitchurch, Tadley, Old Basing and Hatch Warren.

Among those hoping to scoop the £100 cash prize for the charity of their choice is Gloria Richards, of Loyalty Lane, Old Basing, who has been brightening up the street with her decorations for the last seven years.

New additions to her display this year include Santa and an elf on a see-saw, fountain lights and a snowman who lifts up his hat.

"I've always loved Christmas," said Gloria. "I've got seven grandchildren and they all love it, even the eldest who is 15."

Nominations must be received by no later than noon today by calling The Gazette on 01256 337444, or sending an e-mail to newsdesk@basingstokegazette.co.uk stating the address and telephone number of the house you are nominating.

The winner will be selected by a panel of judges and announced in next week's Monday Gazette. Normal Gazette rules apply.
