Eastleigh-based sweet-makers Adams were so enthused over the success of a sponsorship deal with one of the leading British Superbike teams that they are considering doing it again.
Adams, who make the famous Halls Mentho Lyptus throat sweets, backed championship runner-up Sean Emmett over the closing weeks of the season.
Their 'Take a Deep Breath Slogan' adorned the Virgin
Yamaha team race wear. And after seeing the Halls brand name featured on TV and magazine coverage of Britain's biggest motor cycle road race championship, Adams say they considered the exercise "a promotional success and is weighing up future involvement".
Ironically, the bike that Emmett took to second place in the series will be ridden by Southampton's own road race star John Crockford in 2003.
