IT'S not everyday that a visit to the local pub could save your life.
While beer, lager and spirits were flowing as freely as ever at The Lord Arthur Lee in Fareham so too was potentially lifesaving advice.
Tips on improving diets, preventing sexually transmitted diseases and reducing the risk of testicular and prostate cancer were given out at a health roadshow.
Four health experts chose the venue as a way to encourage more men to get clued up about health matters.
According to a recent Mori poll only 14 per cent of young men check their testicles regularly despite testicular cancer being the most common cancer affecting those aged between 20 and 35-years-old.
Community dietician Sarah Brown was also on hand to offer top tips on healthier eating including having seven portions of fruit and vegetable a day.
"Women tend to be more interested in healthy eating while men tend to just eat what they're given," she said.
The health roadshow has already stopped off at Fareham College and Fareham Leisure Centre.
