Fun Lovin' Criminals, Portsmouth Guildhall
ONCE again, the Fun Lovin' Criminals lived up to their name - the fun bit, that is - during their Portsmouth Guildhall gig.
Grinning throughout the performance, frontman Huey kept it laid-back but upbeat with classics old and new.
The smiling ex-marine was on top form as he told the odd joke or gave a little insight into the meaning behind the next song.
(Halfway Round the Block, he explained, was about his difficulty getting from A to B without being distracted along the way.)
Most of the hits were from their 100% Columbian album, with the soulful Up on the Hill kicking off the night.
But new numbers thrown in here and there for good measure left the listener content that this New York band has still got what it takes.
