HAMPSHIRE primary schools are doing well according to newly- published league tables.
The figures show that many of county's 328 schools saw 100 percent of their pupils attaining level 4 in English, maths and science.
Hampshire County Council's executive member for education, Cllr Don Allen, said: "Hampshire's Key Stage 2 results show continued high standards, with results above the national average.
"However, we are not complacent and we regard this year's results as a good foundation for further improvement in future years."
The county council has published all of Hampshire's results in a special booklet, called Primary School Performance Tables 2002, which details Year 6 (11-year-old) final key stage results for tests sat this summer.
The booklet includes the percentage of pupils achieving target level 4 or above in the tests, as well as details on teacher assessment in mathematics, English and science.
An average point score is given for each school, which combines the test results of core subjects to provide an overall average of each school's performance.
In addition, the booklet contains information about the number of pupils at each school, the number with special educational needs and those eligible to sit Key Stage tests.
Cllr Allen said: "The performance booklet is a valuable tool for parents, giving information on test results and other aspects of our primary schools.
"However, it is worth remembering that they do not show the whole picture.
"The data does not highlight individual progress made by pupils, nor the progress made in other areas of the curriculum, such as sport and music.
"Pupils' behaviour and their attitudes to learning are also not reflected through the figures."
