ANTTI NIEMI is expected to be fit to face Birmingham tomorrow despite jarring a knee in Monday's 1-0 win against West Ham.
Niemi received treatment on the injury yesterday and Welsh international goalkeeper Paul Jones is on stand-by for his first start since September.
Chris Marsden, meanwhile, is taking advantage of his enforced break to try and sort out his troublesome Achilles injury.
He has been carrying the problem for several weeks but is suspended after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season against Arsenal.
He is having intensive treatment in a bid to be fully fit for next week's home game against Newcastle.
