VISITING your relatives can be perilous at the best of times. Little Red Riding Hood's trip to see her grandmother makes usual family rows over Christmas dinner seem like a scene out of The Waltons, particularly when Granny threatens to eat her.
Can Little Red Riding Hood outwit the wolf? Will Granny be eaten? Can the brave woodcutter save the day?
Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf is a new musical version of the traditional fairytale, which features some new characters to stir things up a little.
There is also the chance to meet some real live wolves at the evening performance on November 16 and to learn about the work of the Wolf Conservation Trust, although the theatre is keen to stress that no wolves appear in the actual show.
December 12 -January 5, Theatre Royal, Winchester. Tickets: from £8. Box office: 01962 840440.
