GREEN-fingered youngsters on an Andover estate have braved wet and cold conditions to help plant trees to improve the environment in their part of town.
The 28 young people joined the tree-planting scheme as part of Testway Housing's Green Team Experience.
The scheme has come about in an effort to encourage people to improve their environment.
Trees and shrubs were planted in Galahad Close and Tintagel Close.
As it was one of the coldest days of the autumn the youngsters, parents and Testway staff welcome the hotdog and soup lunch provided by Testway.
"I was very encouraged by the number of people who turned out on such a cold day," said Ian Gurdler, estates services manager. "Thanks must also go to our sponsors: Suttons Seeds, Tesco and Brian Horne Tree Services."
