HE'S watched by more than 30,000 adoring fans week in, week out. But now in-form Saints striker James Beattie has a not-so-secret new admirer - none other than Aussie pop superstar Holly Valance.
Friends of the stunning former Neighbours actress have revealed she has a soft spot for the Premiership's hottest current goalscorer, describing him as "a bit of all right".
But despite being flattered by the attention, Beattie, 23, has announced he is very happy with his current girlfriend, Sarah.
Holly, 19, gets her love of Saints from her Southampton-born mother, Rachel, who has never forgotten her Hampshire roots despite emigrating Down Under.
Her daughter reportedly cannot wait until her busy schedule allows her to visit the Friends Provident St Mary's Stadium for a match - and to meet the squad.
But the model's daughter is unlikely to Kiss Kiss (the title of her summer smash hit song) with the Premiership's joint top scorer.
Beattie, who has scored nine goals in seven league games, joked: "It's flattering if she really did say that about me but I am very happy with my girlfriend. I couldn't resist sticking the quotes on the fridge door though, just to keep her on her toes."
Holly was unavailable for comment.
Tonight Beattie may be surrounded by women at an exclusive Saints ladies' night. Either the striker or defender Paul Williams will join goalkeeper Antti Niemi as the only male guests at the event at the club's megastore.
Hosted by Power FM DJs Rachel Brooks and Pippa Head, partygoers will enjoy wine, music, games and more - including a ten per cent discount on all Saints merchandise.
Revellers will also have the chance to win a new Mini Cooper at the event which kicks off at 7.30pm at the St Mary's Stadium.
This is the second ladies' night laid on by the club.
Chairman Rupert Lowe said: "The evening promises to be highly enjoyable and it's a pity I won't be getting an invite."
Ring the Saints Megastore number on 0870 220 00130 to reserve a place on the guest list.
