NEW Forest Juniors' Chloe Foot was not only an under-13 girls' 60 metres winner - she set a club record into the bargain.
Competing at the impressive indoor facility at Eton, she sped away to a 9.2-second victory ahead of clubmates Tiffany Markham (9.4), Gemma Willett (9.6), Tarry Parry (10.0), Katy Jackson (10.2) and Rebecca Gray (10.9).
There was another club record smashed in the under-17 60m by Cassie Gear in 8.1 seconds. Hot on her heels was Hollie McManus in 8.2, followed by Carly Holder (8.6) and Emily Sanderson (8.9).
Laurence Bowen took second place in the under-17 60m in 7.7, while Aimee Chandler and Danielle Gray clocked 9.2 and 10.0 respectively for the under-15 girls.
The hardier club members competed on a rain-soaked Prospect Park course in Reading in the Hampshire Cross-Country League.
Hayley Pointer was NFJ's highest-placed runner in seventh spot in the under-15 girls' race, while Charlotte Bates was 29th in her first Hampshire League race of the season.
Other results: Under-13 girls: Ruth Hackston 54th, Rachel Smallwood 58th.
Under-13 boys: Graham Nelson 39th.
Under-15 girls: Laura Marzaroli 42nd.
Under-17 girls: Jade Davies 57th, Abigail Hackston 67th.

Team Solent had another healthy turn-out of 35 runners in the Leisure Pursuits Hampshire Cross-County League fixture at Reading's Propsect Park.
Four of them pinned down top-ten positions with Jon Slade finishing fourth under-15 boy and Peter Hare (under-13 boys), Alex Wall-Clarke (under-17 men) and Ian Brown (senior men) all placed tenth.

Not for the first time this season, Southampton-based Andy Morgan-Lee led the local charge in the Victory 5 Road Race at Portsmouth.
Defying 50mph-plus winds and the twisting nature of the re-designed course, the Salford Harrier placed fifth from 500 finishers in 24 minutes and 39 seconds.
Kenyan athletes took the top spots in both the men's and women's race, but Morgan-Lee wasn't the only local to shine.
Southampton Running Club international Rod Finch was hot on his heels in sixth place in 24.40 and was followed home by Simon Plummer in 12th (25.21) and Pete Davis in 29th (27.41), placing SRC third team on the day behind Medway and Belgrave.
Steve Axon was 55th in 28.43 and behind him came Ian Crawford (vet 40) in 66th (29.07), Scott Augur in 97th (30.34), Steve Torrance (vet 40) in 110th (31.02), Gary Bryant (vet 45) in 207th (34.11) and Gordon Whelan (vet 40) in 218th (34.33).
