THREE of televisions hottest female soap stars will make a special guest appearance at a children's Christmas party in Basingstoke this weekend.
Jessie Wallace (Cat from Eastenders), Terri Dwyer (Ruth from Hollyoaks), and Jennifer Ellison (Emily from Brookside) are due to come to Chicago Rock Cafe to meet a group of 70 children, who are either in-patients or chronically-ill outpatients at Basingstoke hospital's children's ward.
Also taking part in the event will be magician Brian McWethy and two young apprentices and Chicago Rock's resident DJ Tony Temple.
Other guests include Basingstoke's deputy mayor Gerry Traynor and the deputy mayoress.
A spokesman for Chicago's said: "This is a real community project.
"We are trying to get 70 presents for Santa to give the kids and have had some cash and gifts from local businesses but we need loads more. If any local businesses have anything suitable for children of all ages from one to 18 years of age they would kindly donate, or have any larger prizes we could ask Steve McFadden from Eastenders to auction when he appears at Chicago Rock Cafe this Friday evening, then please contact us."
To donate a gift, please call John Hicks on 01256 814242.
