A BRAVE New Forest priest has spoken today of his memories of being sexually abused as a youngster by his own parish priest.

Father Ray Lyons, of the Waterside parish, suffered six years of trauma during the 1960s. He had looked at the abuser as his own father after his biological dad had died.

Father Lyons told the Daily Echo: "He used and abused his power over me."

However, despite the abuse, he insists he does not want a witch-hunt against the Catholic Church.
