THEY may have been singing about 'Tomorrow' but the budding actors from Starlight Youth theatre were stars of today as they performed hits from the musical Annie.
The talented 30-strong group of eight to 14-year-olds were watched by more than 200 people at Abbey Hall, in Netley Abbey as they showcased work from this term.
Professional actress Louisa Ashford, who starred in TV soap operas Family Affairs and Howard's Way, is their drama coach and director.
She said: "It's a great performance. They have done really well. It's a good way of rounding off the term so their parents can see how much they have improved over the months.
"The kids are enjoying it. They are all smiling a lot. Some of them have shown some very professional quality and I'm very proud of them."
The theatre meets in Netley Abbey and Hamble on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Anyone who is interested in joining should call 023 8033 9322 for more information.
They also performed a play called Jimmy and Charles, written by Bill Baxter.
