Residents at a Winchester retirement home will be enjoying a slap-up Christmas meal next Friday courtesy of the army.
The celebrations are part of regular social activities organised by Hanover Housing Association for residents at their Harestock retirement scheme.
The supper is at the Officers' Mess, Worthy Down Military Camp and has been paid for by the army who are also providing transport for the residents.
The evening is also being attended by MP Mark Oaten and his wife Belinda.
"Events such as the Christmas Supper are so important to my residents as they allow everyone to get together, reminisce and have a splendid time," said Julia Medley, Hanover's estate manager.
