The mayor of Winchester will be switching on the Christmas lights in Alresford on Monday evening (Dec 2).
Festivities begin at 5.45pm in Broad Street.
The huge tree has been provided by the Alresford Christmas Tree Fund and as in previous years the mayor will be joined by children from Sun Hill Junior school.
The youngsters all helped to make the figures for the crib which is placed under the tree as well as the special post box to hold the letters to Santa.
After the switching on of the lights the mayor, councillor John Steel, will present the Trader of the Year award on behalf of the town's Chamber of Commerce.
