NEIL Archer, a member of Basingstoke Golf Club, is the proud owner of a new set of irons after winning the Titleist-sponsored competition that ran at Hampshire PGA pro-am tournaments throughout the summer.
More than 4,000 amateurs took part in Hampshire PGA pro-am tournaments this year and Archer's entry was the first drawn out of the hat when the Titleist competition closed at the end of October.
Those who missed out this year can try again in 2002, when there will be another competition for amateur players in Hampshire tournaments.
