Months I've wasted
On drink and lies,
I'll move on now,
Those times gone by.
It's time to live
To share God's gifts,
A wife and family
Would give me a lift.
I don't think these charms
I will attain,
But for now
The hope remains,
One day to find
Someone who cares,
With me life's joys,
She'll willingly share.
Oh for a family,
That is my wish,
A son or a daughter
A wife's tender kiss.
Wait I must,
Maybe forever,
With God and hope
I'll never say never.
