WHEN you think award-winning blues the last place that springs to mind is rural Australia. But that's exactly where Geoff Achison come from - and there's no doubting his ability.
Achison brings his distinctive blues sound to the Talking Heads on Wednesday night with a string of accolades behind him. He won the Albert King Award for the most promising blues guitarist, representing Australia, at the Memphis Blues Festival.
Geoff, as both bandleader and solo performer, is widely regarded as one of Oz's most creative bluesmen thanks to his distinctive style of R&B and classic blues.
