A KENNET district councillor is to ask Ludgershall Parish Council to think again about its decision not to support a community bus project.
Steve Miles, who represents Tidworth, says it would not cost Ludgershall anywhere near the £6,000 parish councillors in the village had estimated.
"The parish council has not taken any account of the grants that may be available to help buy the bus and it may well be that we can buy a second-hand bus for far less than the £16,000 originally suggested," said cllr Miles.
"I will certainly be sending them more information and asking them to reconsider."
The bus would be available for community groups in Tidworth, Ludgershall, the Collingbournes, the Chutes and Everleigh.
"I thought the idea of the south east Kennet community area was for us all to work together," he added.
